Intertech (2003–2012)
Archive of an independent IT consultancy founded by Francesco Giannoccaro

Founded in 2003, Intertech was an Italy-based independent IT consultancy specialising in Linux and open-source technologies, active until 2012.

Over nearly a decade, the company delivered complex IT initiatives — from ERP systems and knowledge management platforms to large-scale e-learning environments — serving organisations in the banking and insurance sectors, as well as universities and research institutes.
Among the most ambitious projects was the design and implementation of an e-learning platform adopted by more than 40 banks and financial institutions in Italy. Built to support thousands of concurrent users, the platform combined scalability, resilience, and performance to deliver text and video-based training at scale — anticipating the growing demand for digital learning infrastructures.
In its final phase, Intertech developed V2IP, a cloud-based B2B/B2C SaaS platform providing flexible and cost-effective webinar and web-meeting services — an early step into what would soon become mainstream cloud collaboration.

In 2012, I chose to close Intertech to pursue a new chapter focused on research computing applied to life sciences and public health.
Intertech is no longer in operation and does not provide services. This website remains as a record of an entrepreneurial journey shaped by innovation, technical depth, and continuous growth.
